The PTT option switches on the transmitter when pressed.
The PTM option switches off the transmitter when pressed.
The PTS makes an extra contact when pressed.
These PTT & PTM options improve reception by eliminating side-tone noise that comes through the transmitter or by allowing private "aside" conversations. The PTS option is a six wire handset that is used to initiate radio or paging transmissions.
All handsets are hearing aid compatible.
